My Interests
Durring my almost 2 years of studying at The Game Assembly I have been able to try many different things in Game programing, all of wich have been interesting. There are of course some areas that interest me more and I have listed them here.
UI/UX
UI and UX design is the first thing you see when you open a game (most of the time). It is the first impression and I find it very fun to work with. I love how you get to work with other disciplines and how it can enhance the gaming experience so much.
AI
I have worked a lot with AI in the later projects I worked on. It was something I thought I would not like but became one of my favorite areas. I enjoy creating the systems for the AI and finding new ways to improve the AI.
Math
I am someone who really loves an algorithm and trying to get it to work. I enjoy the trial and error in trying to implement an algorithm. I also understand math and can work with math easily.
Optimization
I really love and enjoy optimizing code. It is something I could do for fun anytime. I really enjoy being able to make optimizations to make the engine or game run faster.
about us
My Specialization
For my specialization I decided to go back to what I thought was fun and do things related to UI. I worked on font rendering in a custom engine (Aurora) that I have worked in and on for projects 5-8.
I wanted to try and challenge myself and decided to try and render fonts and text in 3D space as well as in 2D space.
Highlighted Projects
These are my favourite and most proud of projects I worked on.
Space Trip
“Save an astronaut from losing their oxygen while experiencing a psychedelic trip through mind and space.”
Pitfoil
“Reawaken a once desolate steel mill and utilize its forgotten technology to survive the automated defense system.”
P7
“You’re a Fisherman trapped in an underwater metropolis. Harpoon through the fish monsters and get to the surface.”
Pitfoil
Project 3
“Reawaken a once Desolate Steel Mill by using Forgotten Technology to Survive an Automated Defense System”
Play as Grippley, a scavengerwho has fallen deep into an abandoned steel factory trying to find her fay out. Solve puzzles and reawaken the desolate steel mill but beware not all technology in this place is safe, some might even have a mind of its own.
Awaken the world around out.
I worked on the menus and UI of this game.
Atlantean Ascent
Project 7
“You’re a Fisherman trapped in an underwater metropolis. Harpoon through the fish monsters and get to the surface.”
You play as a Fisherman who has fallen into a pocket dimension while fishing in the Bermuda triangle.
I worked on the AI using Statemachines and Behavior Trees.
Spite: The Summoning
Project 6
“A powerful demonic presence has been summoned in the catacombs of an old town. You, the cleric, must descend deeper to the source of the evil and use your divine magic to vanquish the demons that have emerged.”
You play as a Cleric trying to get rid of the demons that are terrorizing the city.
I worked on AI using StateMachines.
Deliverance
Project 5
“Sove the puzzles around you and escape the room with the secret formula.”
You play as a spy trying to collect secret data from a scientist. You must break the code to the case where the files are. Can you break the case with the clue found in the scientists office?
I worked on a few different things, among them, UI, Communication, and Animation implementation.
Fortune Fiasco
Project 4
”As a magic curse corrupts the circus, one tiny jester must struggle, against the vicious fortune teller’s puzzles and allies to break the prophecy of ruination”
Fortune Fiasco is about a cursed Circus. You play as Eep, a Jester from the Circus. Talk with the Circus Director and find out what is cursing the grounds and creat the Circus curse. Battle bosses in a boss rush game. Solve puzzles and free the innocent.
I worked on the player controller for this game.
Space Trip
Project 1
“Save an astronaut from losing their oxygen while experiencing a psychedelic trip through mind and space.”
Space Trip was the first game I made using Unity. I previously worked with JavaScript, Python, and Swift. We had 6 weeks to create a obsticle game using Unity. Space Trip is based on the game “Race the Sun”.
I worked on the UI for this game.
Ghost Grab
Project 2
“Travel through different Dimensions and solve Puzzles by pushing blocks to bring all the Ghosts back home again!”
Ghost Trip is a mobile game made with Unity. It is a puzzle game where you push the ghosts into jars to collect them. It is the first mobile game I made and the second game I ever worked on using Unity.
I was mainly a techsupport for this game and helping wherever I could help.
I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd.
Any internship offers can be made on May 6th, at the earliest.
